On Sunday, starting at 13:00 pm, the match FC Minsk – BATE Borisov, from round 4 of the Premier League, the first value division in Belarus, will be played.
FC Minsk had a “start to the championship”. The Belarus capital team managed 2 victories in the first 2 stages: 3-1 on Belshina’s field and 3-2 on own field against the great rival, Dinamo Minsk. However, despite all expectations, in the third round it was defeated by Energetik-BGU (score 0-2). The game played on the field of the Energetik was a modest one, the moments when FC Minsk rose to the expectations of the fans being extremely rare. On the other hand, BATE Borisov had a diametrically opposite season start. Defeated in the first two rounds, the “yellow-blue” were “recalibrated” in the third stage, in which they defeated Rukh Brest by 1-0. First of all, we must note that BATE Borisov did not show the defensive problems that were very visible at the beginning of the season. Once these problems in the defensive compartment are “repaired” or at least minimized, BATE is a team almost impossible to defeat in Belarus.
