During the week the first round of KNVB Beker was completed and on Friday the thirteenth game round of the Kitchen Champion Division is scheduled. Telstar hopes to continue their good form, but will receive a visit from Jong FC Utrecht, which has been making an excellent impression for weeks.
Telstar:
It is safe to conclude that Telstar started the season with a change. As an excuse, it can be used that there is a new trainer in the form of Andries Jonker and that players certainly have to get to grips with their game views in the beginning. Although there is actually not much wrong with the tenth place where the people from Velsen are currently living on. Last year, the play-offs were missed at the last minute and this must change under Jonker this season.
On Monday Telstar came into action in the KNVB Cup, a nice game against neighbor HFC was scheduled. The second divisionist brutally took the lead via Khalid Tadmine after ten minutes of play, Telstar did the score ten minutes later alone again thanks to a goal from Anthony Berenstein. Reda Kharchouch turned out to be gold again for the people of Velsen. The striker was still active for third divisionist OFC last season, but this year already scored seven times in competition on behalf of Telstar. He used a penalty kick in the 93rd minute against HFC and Jonker and his men converted further.
Jong Utrecht:
Young FC Utrecht seemed to be on a pink cloud in the first weeks of the new season of the Kitchen Champion Division, and that was more than justified. The Domsted residents had a surprisingly strong start to the season. They have almost equaled last season’s points in twelve games. In the last three duels, it just didn’t hit the least opponents in the competition and it didn’t come to a win.
Two minutes before the end, FC Utrecht had a great 2-1 lead against title candidate, but they still had to do it with a draw. Van Jong Ajax was lost 4-0 at De Toekomst, but this is also not a shame, since the Amsterdam promises are currently in very good shape. Last weekend, leader SC Cambuur was cleverly kept on a draw and with a relatively easier program in prospect, the team of coach René Hake is expected to consolidate their place in the subtop.
PREDICTION: Telstar to win @ 1,80
