Belarus vs Netherlands PREVIEW & PREDICTION 13/10/2019

On Sunday, October 13, starting at 17:00, Belarus will meet the Netherlands in Group C qualifications for EURO 2020.

After a month ago, the Netherlands impressed, winning in Germany by 4-2 and 4-0 in Estonia, the R. Koeman-led team clashed with Northern Ireland on Thursday. It was a game dominated by bataves, but they were led in the 75th minute after 2-3 errors in the defensive chain. Things went back to normal, with the Netherlands winning 3-1, after two goals scored in the game’s overtime. Thus, the Netherlands, Germany and Northern Ireland each have 12 groups, the last one having a more contested match.

On the other side, Belarus started these qualifications with 4 defeats, and in the last 2 rounds scored 4 points in front of the same opponent, Estonia, 2-1 in Talinn and 0-0 on their own ground. Therefore, with 2 matches remaining to be disputed, Belarus is 8 lengths away from the first 3 teams in the group and has no chance of qualifying.

Probable teams:

Belarus: Gutor; Polyakov, Politsevich, Martynovich, Matveichyk; Maevski, Yablonski; Stasevich, dragon, Savitskiy; Skavysh

The Netherlands: Cillessen; Dumfries, De Ligt, Van Dijk, Blind; F de Jong, De Roon, Wijnaldum; Malen, Memphis, Bergwijn

The difference in value is obvious and in addition the Netherlands is the more motivated group. In the next round, the team of R. Koeman will play in Northern Ireland and the batsmen should not normally lose points in this game from Minsk.

PREDICTION: Over 2,5 goals @ 1,61
