On Friday at 18:30 pm on the stadium “Ion Oblemenco”, the University of Craiova will receive the visit of the Poli Iasi team in a match counting for the 12th round of League 1.
Oltenii are on the second place with 22 points to two points of the leader CFR Cluj, while the Moldavians are on the 5th with 17 points.
In the previous round, the Oltenians gained a big victory by prevailing in front of their fans against those from Viitorul Constanța with a score of 3-1 while Poli Iasi managed only one draw, 1-1 in Botosani with Sepsi OSK Sf Gheorghe, thus ticking the fifth consecutive game in Liga 1 without victory.
On the other side after the start with the left bank of Science, 0-1 on home soil with FCSB, the University tightened its ranks and obtained three consecutive victories, a secret that brought the Oltenians to the second place in the standings just two lengths behind CFR- of the two, following the sixth straight match in the final stage of the regular season.
It is clear that the Oltenians will force a victory to remain in the leader’s net. However, when CFR Cluj will take a wrong step on its own ground with Viitorul, the University could equal or surpass in the ranking the Transylvanians.
