Estonia vs Netherlands PREVIEW & PREDICTION 09/09/2019

On Monday, September 9, starting at 19:45 pm, Estonia will meet the Netherlands in the 6th round of Group C qualifying for EURO 2020.

Surprisingly, the leader of this group is Northern Ireland with 12 points after 4 matches, but it is noteworthy that it has not yet met the teams in 2nd and 3rd place, Germany and Holland. The “Batavii” come after an impressive victory in Hamburg with 4-2 and 6 points are 3 lengths away from Germany and 6 from Northern Ireland, “national” who played one more game. Of note is that in the previous round against Germany, the Netherlands played a delightful game. Ronald Koeman’s team looked very good when they had to play positively, being led by 1-0, but also on the counterattack, when they were in the lead on the scoreboard.

On the other side, Estonia comes after another defeat on its own ground, 1-2 with Belarus. Therefore, Karel Voolaid’s team reached 4 defeats in 4 matches and occupies the last position in Group C. It is also worth noting that Estonia received at least 2 goals in each match, and Germany scored 8.

It is clear, the difference in value is obvious and normally does not have to lose points in this game. Very important is that in just 3 days, Norway will play in Sweden, a match much more important for Lars Lagerbäck’s lineup. Therefore, against Malta it is expected to see a representative of the Nordics, which will be missing some important players. Given the fact that Malta will most likely approach the game in a defensive manner, we should not attend an extremely spectacular match.

PREDICTION: Over 3,5 goals @ 1,93
