Den Bosch vs Eindhoven FC PREVIEW & PREDICTION 23/08/2019

FC Den Bosch and FC Endhoven are two clubs that seem to be heading in the opposite direction. The people of Eindhoven have managed to get a welcome reinforcement with Sleegers, while FC Den Bosch is in a shortage of money and consists of a wafer-thin selection.

FC Den Bosch:

For FC Den Bosch last season was a fairy tale that went out like a night candle. The Bosschenaren became winter champions, took a period title and set an unprecedented victory series. After the winter break the crowd started slowly and coach Wil Boessen was fired just before the play-offs. It seemed to have an effect, but in the final Go Ahead Eagles secured body retention during the final match. The acquisition of Kakhi Jordania was not approved by the KNVB after the season and the Brabant club is now experiencing financial difficulties. The gap in the budget is still 350,000 euros.

FC Den Bosch must submit a balanced budget to the KNVB before 26 August, and this is usually only possible if it is able to sell expensive players such as Stefan Velkov and Leo Väisänen, while the selection is already extremely tight. Luuk Brouwers left the field against Telstar last weekend with a concussion and seems to have been eliminated for a few weeks. FC Den Bosch currently has striker Ryan Mmaee and offside player Jinty Caenenpeel on trial and hope that they can provide the selection with new offensive impulses.

Eindhoven FC:

FC Eindhoven had hoped to participate in the play-offs last season. The tension was a few matches before the end of the regular season therefore cut in the Kitchen Champion Division. The moment the people of Eindhoven had to stand alone, they did not give home. With a fourteenth place they ended up just a few places short of a ticket for the after competition. The board came to the conclusion that the final ranking was poor and decided to dismiss David Nascimento and replace him with Ernie Brands.

Brands will be proud of his selection, because they managed to get the most out of two games. The season was opened with a great 2-1 win at NEC’s visit in de Goffert and last weekend it rolled 5-1 over FC Dordrecht for the home crowd. Earlier this year, it also recorded a historic 8-1 victory over the Schapenkoppen. The attackers Marcelo Lopes and Joey Sleegers stole the show, as both players were involved in four of the five goals. Branco van den Boomen is another mainstay, the captain received a much improved contract proposal from the club, but has ignored it. The midfielder has the ambition to make a step up.
