I’m going with another pick for the knockout stages of the African Cup, in this case for Algeria – Guinea.
Algeria reached the round of 16 after making a group stage of 10, won all 3 matches without conceding a goal (2-0 to Kenya, 0-1 to Senegal and 0-3 to Tanzania). As for the squad for me it is the best of this African Cup, with players like Mahrez, Mandi or Feghouli among others.
On the Guinea side, they reach these eighths after finishing third in the group, drawing 2-2 against Madagascar, losing 1-0 to Nigeria and winning 0-2 against a weak Burundi. As I said in previous picks of these eighths, here they begin to notice that the third group are not level. The match they won was to Burundi and highlight that Burundi had one player less on the field since the 12th minute.
The odds are high because it is African football, the possibility of 0-0 is always present, but Algeria is better than Guinea, they come at a better time and should win the match.
