Tanzania vs Algeria PREVIEW & PREDICTION 01/07/2019

In the final round in group C of the Africa Cup, title candidate Algeria will face Tanzania in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Monday evening. Algeria is already assured of group profit, while Tanzania already knows that it can pack its bags after this game.

Tanzania:

Last Thursday’s group match against neighboring Kenya had everything you could expect from such a derby: flying tackles, many offenses, and a blistering score. Tanzania managed to take the lead twice against its arch rival, but eventually left the field with a 3-2 defeat. Because the country had already lost 2-0 to Senegal 2-0 a few days earlier, it is still at zero points after two group matches and is therefore definitely eliminated. Even with a monster victory in Algeria, Tanzania was sentenced to fourth place, because the mutual result is more important than the goal difference. For the Taifa Stars, the tournament is over after Monday evening anyway.

Tanzania naturally wants to leave the Africa Cup with its head held high, although that will probably be a difficult story. Most trainers in contemporary professional football almost always take protection of their players from the media, but national coach Emanuel Amunike did not speak up after the painful defeat against Kenya. ‘If you don’t know how to manage a match, you pay the bill for that. We were wrong, and we covered wrong. We have trained on this countless times, but players remain players, “said Nigeria’s former star. “It becomes very difficult to motivate ourselves now that we know that we have already been eliminated.”

Algeria:

In fact, nothing is at stake for Algeria on Monday evenings, although the atmosphere in North Africans will undoubtedly be a lot better. Thanks to victories over Kenya (2-0) and Senegal (0-1), De Woestijnvossen achieved the full pound and after two group matches they are already assured of group profit in group C.

Of course Algeria wants to keep this good shape, but it is obvious that national coach Djamel Belmadi will rotate a lot on Monday evening and will give various strongholders a rest. The defenders Djameleddine Belamri and Youcef Attal have been suspended on the next yellow card and will therefore probably not be able to play against Tanzania. What the rest of the Algerian base eleven will look like is watching coffee grounds, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the star players Soufiane Feghouli and Riyad Mahrez also have a free evening.
