Montreal Impact vs Seattle Sounders PREVIEW & PREDICTION 06/06/2019

On June 6th, at 00:30, Montreal Impact and Seattle Sounders meet in the US championship. The guests have not won for more than two months, but the Canadians have a modest offensive game and have scored a single goal in the first half this season at home.

Seattle is ranked No. 3 in the Western Conference (25-19 Glacier), with 26 points at 11 “lengths” behind Los Angeles FC. Montreal is fifth in the Eastern Conference (19-27), with one of the weakest offensive in the championship. Canadians have won a single round of the last five and come after two consecutive failures: 2-3 with Sporting Kansas and 1-2 with FC Dallas. Montreal lost 0-3 with Orlando City but won the previous match with Real Salt Lake (2-1). In the last direct duel, Montreal Impact won 1-0 in April 2018.

With three wins in six games on Saputo Stadium, Montreal starts with the first chance of winning, but the Canadian team is no longer at the same height as in previous years. Thursday, hosts will miss Choiniere, Okwonwko and Piatti, while Seattle is without Kim Kee, Morris and Rodriguez.

Sounders must work well in the defensive phase after receiving 12 goals in the previous 5 rounds of the championship. Eloquent is that goalkeeper Stefan Frei (Seattle) has the best percentage of Major League Soccer in terms of the number of decisive interventions, which means that Sounders’s defender does not protect his goalkeeper very well. The direct parties between the two bands are usually tacticized and in the last six duels it has happened once to write both!

PREDICTION: Montreal Impact to win @ 1,98
