On Saturday, at 15:00, Fulham receives Cardiff City‘s visit in a match where Welsh hopes to avoid relegation. Arrived at three rescue points, Neil Warnock’s team has its own battles to win, but also counts on Brighton’s bad steps.
Fulham is already relegated and Scott Parker makes adjustments for the forthcoming season, in which the Londoners will “hunt” the immediate promotion in the Premier League. Cardiff does not have the fate yet sealed. The hosts are ranked 19th (33-76 goals), while Cardiff is on the 18th place (30-65 goal), eight points in addition to the white-blacks. Cardiff has lost four of the last five rounds, but has achieved a vital success in moving from Brighton, which is just three points in front of the white-blue. As a result, with success, corroborated by a new “seagull” failure, Cardiff would move Florin Andone’s team to the hierarchy in England.
Interestingly, Fulham has only “found” in the last rounds of the season, and Mitrovic & Co. come after two goalless wins with Everton (2-0) and Bournemouth (1-0). On the other hand, the home equity balance is far from encouraging, with only two free matches won throughout the season. In addition, Fulham received at least two goals in 12 of the 17 stages played on Craven Cottage in this championship! Cardiff is not a rebounding team but has won big wins with Leicester, Southampton and Brighton. Trust is great among Neil Warnock’s players, who will fight for each phase, with the rescue.
Even though Bamba, Connolly, Paterson, Ralls and Arter are absent, Cardiff will fill their absence through an organized, ambitious collective game. Fulton is reported to be injured Bettinelli, Fosu-Mensah, Markovic and Mawson, but Scott Parker is about to make a rotation in the black and white group. Cardiff has a modest attack in championship moves (only 11 goals scored), but treats this match as a relegation finale. With victories on the line in the remaining stages, the Welsh have a good chance of survival, given that Brighton has a slightly more difficult program in which they “arbitrate” the fight for the title.
Despite receiving the first goal, Cardiff forced himself to a 4-2 draw, taking the revenge for the last-round failure in Fulham (2-4) and continuing the “tradition” of the spectacular duels. In the last seven direct games there were scored at least 28 goals! In fact, the “GG” selection (both marks) has been winning in the last eight straight duels, which once again encourages bets on goals and shows. Liverpool defeated last round (0-2), Cardiff hoping that the good shape of the hosts was exhausted in the previous games, with Everton and Bournemouth. But surely, the Londoners will not give up easy points on their own.
