Northern Ireland vs Estonia PREVIEW & PREDICTION 21/03/2019

Thursday evening, at 19:45, Northern Ireland receives Estonian visit to the first round of the European Championship preliminaries in 2020. A fierce match is announced and the hosts on Windsor Park start with the first chance in terms of betting houses.

Northern Ireland (36th place in the FIFA hierarchy) has not won four consecutive matches, while Estonia (96th place in the FIFA hierarchy) is unbeaten in three games. The Belfast game will be played in an electrifying atmosphere, with all tickets already sold. The two bands also met in the Euro 2012 preliminaries, when Estonia won both sides with 4-1 and 2-1. Before these games, Northern Ireland had won the previous two duels, 1-0 each time. The difference in value between the two bands has increased in recent years, as a large proportion of North-Irish players are evolving to an acceptable level in England. However, the form shown by hosts in the League of Nations was not impressive.

White-women come after three defeats and a draw, 1-2 with Austria, 0-2 with Bosnia and 0-1 with Austria. The draw was made in front of Ireland, so Michael O’Neill’s team has a single goal scored in the last 360 minutes of the game. Northern Ireland’s last success was achieved in September 2018, a 3-0 home strike with Israel. Estonia comes after a 0-0 with Iceland and two wins with Finland (2-1) and Greece (1-0). So the Baltic players have been forced into the last two official tours, which gives hope for a favorable result Thursday evening.

Northern Ireland has not won an official game match since September 2017 with a draw and seven failures in the league! Without defeat in three of the last six away games, Estonia will not play a game of ultra defensive, but will try to be dangerous on the counter and to put the defender’s back problems. The Northern Ireland matches are scored mostly in the second half, a bet that we will also watch in the Belfast game. Having players like Griegg, Boyce, Washington, Lafferty or Davis, manager Michael O’Neill knows his team has a good chance of winning a win against an opponent.

PREDICTION: Northern Ireland to win @ 1,47
