On Wednesday, September 5, Slovakia and Denmark will meet in a friendly match. The match will take place on “City Arena” in Trnava, starting at 19:45.
After losing their World Cup qualification, the hosts played a series of four friendly games. The last took place just in early June, when they were to lose to Morocco, 1-2. Although he opened the score in the 59th minute after Jan Gregus (Copenhagen) succeeded, Slovakia lost control of the game within the next quarter hour when the Moroccans scored twice. It was the fourth defeat suffered by Jan Kozak in the last seven games played.
On the other side, the Nordic have managed to pass the group stage to the World Cup after finishing second in Group C. In the previous two meetings, both friends, each team has won one victory. After Danemarca scored 2-1 in 2011, Slovakia took revenge only one year later after a 3-1.
