Tuesday, starting at 19:30, the Red Star Belgrade – Trnava game will be played in the preliminaries of the Champions League.
The two bands have never met in history. Therefore, in order to make the best predictions, we will rely on a number of factors that we will develop in the following.
Red Star Belgrade has had an excellent seasonal debut. “White-Roses” managed to win six games from the 7 official spells of this staged debut, during which the Serbian band has only scored one goal. In the Champions League, it surpassed Spartaks and Suduva without the right to appeal. However, we note that we can not draw any conclusions as far as Red Star is concerned, since the opponents were more than modest. We expect it to qualify in doubles with Trnava, Slovaks not much better than Suduva or Spartaks. In spite of this, we believe the Serbs will not play hard in the tournament. Immediately after the duel with Trnava for the Red Star will follow a very important championship match in front of Subotica (Serbia’s representative in this season of the Europa League), and the coach of the hosts will be able to bet on the devaluation of some players which have evolved less.
On the other hand, Trnava can be described as a “fluctuating” team. Almost against any opponent we can expect the Slovaks to achieve a great result and, at the same time, we can expect it to be defeated in the score. The best example could be exactly the double in the previous round when the Slovaks eliminated Legia Warsaw after 2-0 away and 0-1 on their own. Leaving both this and the aforementioned, we will bet on a least balanced duel.
