On Saturday, starting at 16:00, the Danube Calarasi – CFR Cluj match will be played in the second round of League 1.
The two bands have never met in official matches, with the second round of the championship going to be the first time the two teams will face each other.
Danube Calarasi managed to produce one of the surprises of the inaugural stage. For the first time on the first football scene in Romania, Dunarea defeated it on the Future. During the dispute over Gica Hagi’s team, the Calrasi band was able to make first-hand remnants of safety in the defensive compartment. Certainly, the main goal of the newly promoted is to avoid relegation and we should expect many “closed” parties when one of the combatants will be the Calarasi band. Moreover, this premise is accentuated when the opponents will be the claimants, such as CFR Cluj.
The atmosphere of the Transylvanian breasts has changed radically. If more than two weeks ago, most of the specialists praised the CFR Cluj acquisition campaign during the mercato period, now we find Cluj after a semi-failure in the first round (1-1 on own field with FC Botasani) and after the Champions League catastrophe (home failure with Malmo FF, score 0-1). We also point out that the removal of Edward Iordanescu from the team after just three official parties accentuates the idea of instability. That’s why we can not count on a solid game of “bumps” in this move and we choose to turn our attention to the number of goals.
