NEWCASTLE VS HUDDERSFIELD PREVIEW & PREDICTION
At St. James’ Park, PhD students Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town meet each other this week. Both Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town are above the relegation zone, but the clubs also know that they are not yet certain of life retention.
Newcastle United:
For a PhD student, Newcastle United does not do badly in the Premier League. A club like Newcastle United should also just be active at the highest level in England, but The Magpies had a trip to the Championship last year. This season, however, Newcastle United is back in the Premier League and a lot of teams have had a hard time visiting St. James’ Park this season. When Huddersfield Town visits Newcastle this weekend, Rafael Benítez’s team will do everything they can to keep the points in St. James’ Park and the last match of The Magpies has created a lot of confidence.
For the intelrandbreak, Newcastle United won 3-0 from Southampton and that is a neat result. A few weeks earlier, Manchester United also visited the ship to visit the formation of Benítez and with only one defeat from the last six games, Newcastle United does the most charming. That defeat also came about on a visit to Liverpool and losing this season on Anfield is of course no shame. In addition, Newcastle United is unbeaten six games in its own stadium and a home game against Huddersfield Town does not have to be lost for the men of Benítez.
If Benítez succeeds in maintaining this selection, the Spanish coach has done a very good job. Especially attracting goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka has proved to be a golden touch. The Slovak is rented half a year from Slovan Liberec and has saved Newcastle United a few times from losing points this season, including in the game against Manchester United. Also against Huddersfield Town Dúbravka will again prefer Karl Darlow.
Huddersfield Town:
Huddersfield Town has also been promoted to the Premier League this season. Huddersfield Town of course has a lesser name than Newcastle United, but this season does make itself heard in the competition. David Wagner’s men are in fifteenth place in the Premier League and have a two-point lead on relegation places. Huddersfield Town, however, has played a game more compared to a number of competitors and so The Terriers this weekend full of visits to Newcastle United.
At Huddersfield Town they are currently only in a lesser phase. Wagner’s team has not won three games and one victory in the last five matches does not immediately lead to a lot of self-confidence at Huddersfield. In the last game that Huddersfield Town played before the interland period, The Terriers lost 0-2 to Crystal Palace in their own home. Because of the loss against Palace, the club from London has only one point behind Huddersfield Town and at Huddersfield Town they saw a lot of relegation candidates coming closer in recent weeks.
The problem at Huddersfield Town this season is that The Terriers are doing incredibly badly in matches outside of John Smith’s own stadium. Of the fifteen games that Huddersfield Town played outdoors this season, no less than ten were lost to The Terriers, and Huddersfield Town managed to win only eight runs in the season this season, and there are not many teams in the Premier League that are bad in that respect. then do Wagner’s team.
