Huddersfield vs Swansea PREVIEW & PREDICTION 10/03/2018

HUDDERSFIELD VS SWANSEA PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Huddersfield Town and Swansea City have both gained 30 points in the Premier League. Both teams are facing each other on Saturday-afternoon and the winner of this game will not have to worry about a relegation battle in the coming period.

Huddersfield Town:

With thirty points from 29 games, Huddersfield Town is not doing so bad this season in the English league. The Terriers stand above the relegation streak after 29 pots of football and will logically sign up at the end of this season. If this weekend in Swansea City’s own stadium can be won then The Terriers take a good step towards life retention and if Huddersfield Town succeed to also be active in the Premier League next season, they have done an excellent job.

Last weekend they returned to Wembley at Huddersfield Town. Last year in May, The Terriers on Wembley forced a place in the Premier League by defeating Reading after penalties, but last weekend was not won by the team of David Wagner at Wembley. Tottenham Hotspur was the opponent of Huddersfield Town and The Terriers lost 2-0 to Tottenham. Especially in the first half, Huddersfield did not play well against Tottenham Hotspur and The Terriers did not score for the eleventh time this season in a league game outside of John Smith’s own Stadium.

After two victories in the Premier League, Huddersfield Town crashed again in the Premier League last Saturday, but at Huddersfield Town they would like to recover this weekend when Swansea City comes to visit John Smith’s Stadium. A victory over the visitors from Wales should be the start of a series of winning matches of The Terriers, as with Swansea City home, Crystal Palace home and Newcastle United-out, Huddersfield Town will play the next three games against direct competitors.

Swansea City:

At Swansea City they hope to be allowed to look up in the coming weeks. The Swans were at the bottom of the Premier League for a few weeks this season, but they have found their way up again under manager Carlos Carvalhal. Swansea City is in thirteenth place with thirty points and the club from Wales hopes to make a hole this weekend to relegation places. In order to actually make a step in the ranking, Saturday has to be won on a visit to Huddersfield Town, but at Swansea they have recently had trouble winning matches on English soil. The last away victory of The Swans in the Premier League dates back to December 30, 2017 and so it’s time to grab points from outside Liberty Stadium.

In that private Liberty Stadium was won last weekend from West Ham United. A few days earlier Swansea City in Wales was already 2-0 too strong for Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup and also West Ham United had to believe last weekend. Carvalhal saw his team win West Ham United 4-1 and Swansea knew four different players to put their name on the scoreboard, including the Dutchman Mike van de Hoorn. Since Carvalhal is at the helm at The Swans, the club from Wales has been able to score points, but Swanse City’s goal-making production under Carvalhal has also increased. Under the direction of the Portuguese Swansea in the Premier League manages to make an average of 1.5 goals per game, while that average under Paul Clement at Swansea was still 0.55 goal per game.

PREDICTION: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.52
