PREVIEW & PREDICTION – Tottenham vs Manchester United 31/01/2018
Wednesday evening, Tottenham and Manchester United will face Wembley in a 25th round match of the Premier League!
Several Tottenham players are affected by medical problems and the host manager will hope some of them can play on Wednesday night. The North London team lost only one time in the last 13 games, but only managed to draw in the most recent games played. Loaded schedule and the fact that Londoners rely on a small core of players can be the cause for which the team is no longer able to deliver the expected return.
Manchester United comes to London in a good period after five consecutive wins. Mourinho’s team seems to be at full capacity after some modest results before the new year.
Manchester United has failed to win in the last five matches on the London side, failing to score in two of the last three. The team that played in the home managed to score in each of the last six straight games.
Probable teams:
Mauricio Pochettino will hope that players such as Hugo Lloris, Christian Eriksen and Serge Aurier will be eligible before the match time with United. He certainly will not be able to rely on Danny Rose and Harry Winks.
Mourinho does not have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Daley Blind and Eric Bailly. The Portuguese manager could again call for a defensive three central defender. In the semifinals, Alexis can make his debut at the United in the Premier League, starring alongside Romelu Lukaku.
Tottenham (4-2-3-1)
Lloris – Davies, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Aurier – Dembele, Dier – Eriksen, Alli, Heung-Min – Kane
Manchester United (3-4-1-2)
De Gea – Rojo, Smalling, Jones – Young, Pogba, Matic, Valencia – Lingard – Lukaku, Sanchez
PREDICTION: Both teams to score / YES @ 1.68
