Milan is shining with performance of new transfers. Zlatan become “New Marco Van Basten“ of AC Milan. Robinho is showing and giving his best after disappointed many years on big clubs of Europe. Boateng has such energy to fight on the midfield and even to score. Milan is leading Serie A now with 6 points difference than 2nd.
Before Roma game Milan have very important missings. Best defender Silva and LB/RB Zambrotta are out due of injuries. Pato is long term and hardworker midfielder Flamini is injured too. Milan wants to win and keep point difference last game of the 1st part of the season.
All about Ranieri
Actually Roma is the 2nd best team for me in Italy and only one team to can race with Milan for Scudetto. But Roma coach Ranieri making foolish mistakes and killing chances of Roma.
I am expecting a different Roma against Milan, as always motivated high. Borriello has a cheekbone fracture and will play with mask. He is eager to score to his ex-team to take revenge. RB Cassetti and Vucinic are out.
Roma may be the only one team which managed to get good results from San Siro against Milan since today. Without Cassetti, Cicinho will replace for him. That means Roma will be more offencive on the flanks with Riise and Cicinho.
Menez – Totti and Borriello will include offence and Menez is having huge season. I can easily say that hes best player of the Roma now.
Big battle = Goals
If Milan had Silva and Zambrotta in first 11 I`d pick Milan`s win. But without them , Milan is losing too much solidness on the defence and they are going to face up with such a great offencive team.
It will be a hard game for both “defences“. Can Zlatan be decider again ? or Bonera`s foolish mistakes? is Borriello going to take revenge? or Menez going to shine in San Siro ? Nobody will play here for one point. Especially Roma needs 3 points to keep their hopes fresh. It will be great game between two great teams. Milan is one step closer to win but they cannot manage it without conceeding,so my call is on totals. Minimum 3 goals expecting.

After they successfully completed the CL group stages, and went on to the knockout stages, Roma can now focus on the Serie A. It seems unimaginable that Bari will take something from Rome this weekend.

Cluj is already eliminated from UEFA Champions League. But many things depend from this match. Cluj is in small crisis, the coach Sorin Cartu was fired after bad results in Champions League and domestic championship. Now Alin Minteuan is in charge for Cluj. The most important match
This is the most important match for Roma. A point here will mean qualification for the knock out stage. I am sure all the players will give the maximum and somehow try to save the season. I am saying this because Roma is playing bad in Serie A and they are in the middle of the table. For this match coach Claudio Ranieri will be without three important players, all injured. Out of the team are that David Pizarro, Simone Perrotta and John Arne Riise. Still, I am sure that Ranieri will find adequate replacements.
A point is enough for Roma
Roma need one point to secure the second place. They can`t reach the first place as Bayern Munchen have better mutual score (won 2:0 in Munchen, lost 2:3 in Roma). So, I expect a draw here. And I think both coaches will be very satisfied with a draw. It is understandable for Ranieri, a point here will means knock out stage. But I also think the draw will satisfy Cluj coach Minteuan. His team won 2:1 against Universitatea Craiova at Friday and I positive result against Roma may promote him as a permanent solution for Cluj coach. An open and efficient match
I expect an open and efficient match at Olympico. Just for the record, the last season match played on 20.09.2009 ended 3:1 for Roma. Now I expect at least three goals. The main reason is that both teams are in good form. Roma is unbeaten in four matches, Fiorentina is unbeaten in three. Roma is having three good strikers in Borriello, Totti and Vucinic. Fiorentina also have good strikers in Gilardino, Mutu, Vargas and Ljajic. Because of that I think there should be goals at this match. Roma will attack and there will be much space for Fiorentina strikers via fast counterattacks. So, I expect at least three goals at Olympico.

Parma almost rock bottom
Parma is currently 19th with 6 points from 7 matches. They will have a difficult time against Roma, who beated them so many times in their h2h history. They also miss Paloschi, Galloppa and Paci. Roma to get some confidence

They’ve lost to Bayern, after they were totally outplayed and, despite the goals were score late in the game, Bayern’s win can not be questioned. Now, they managed a lucky win in the league against Inter after an extra time goal by Vucinic and their morale is on a rise. Coach Ranieri said they will take all the necessary measures to avoid another shameful defeat like it happened 3 years ago and that the players are fully focused and they will not underestimate their opponents again. Bad form
CFR, same like Roma, had a terrible start of the season. Their Italian coach Mandorlini was sacked and Sorin Cartu replaced him. After a lucky start and a fortunate win against Basel, they slumped to defeat against FC Targu Mures and only managed a draw against city rivals U Cluj. Very bad for a team with title ambitions. Against Basel, they managed two fast goals and then defended for the entire game. They have some big squad problems for today’s game and they will be a little short in making a competitive team. Apart from their long term missing (Yssuf Kone, Bjelanovic), defensive midfielder Muresan picked a late injury and will miss the game. Also, the previous coach didn’t include striker Bud and playmaker Peralta on the UEFA list so now they are forced to send a much weaker squad than they could possibly do.
Home win
As much as I don’t like Ranieri as a coach, the same I believe Roma will win today, him being the only reason for not taking a higher stake bet, as he can simply destroy everything he touches. But, the bookies also think the same way and the -1,25 AH it’s a little high for a group game, especially thinking Roma is not in hot form and CFR will probably go and defend. I will go for the ht-ft bet in Roma’s favor since the scenario of Roma scoring in the first half and then controlling the game it looks to me more probable than a draw a half time and a trashing in the second. But now is the real test for Benitez side – game against actual vice-champion. For this game Inter will be without four players – Thiago Motta, Javier Zanetti, Walter Samuel and Marco Materazzi are all injured.
No team has advantage
I think no team has an advantage here. Roma is in bad form, but Roma is playing at home. And I dare to say Roma lost at Brescia, but due to referee mistakes. It is clear that only referee saw the penalty for Brescia in the second half, as well as the red card for Mexes. On other side Inter is winning, but the level of the form isn`t like previous year. Traditionally Inter have difficulties when play against Roma. Last season for example, Roma won at home 2:1 and played 1:1 in Milano. So, I think both coaches, Ranieri and Benitez, will be satisfied with one point here.

The main Bayern’s advantage in this match will be the fact they will be playing at their Allianz Arena, where they play a lot better than they do on the road. Their other advantage is the fact they’ll be hosting demoralized and weak Roma. Bayern has a great squad, which isn’t too different compared to the last season, actually it is no different at all. One of their main weapons is young but already experienced Muller, who can leave the fans breathless with his every move. He’s shown a lot of skills at the past WC and at the start of this season, proving he needs just a little space to score goals. Horrible
They’ve started the season poorly, and have to change something in their favor as they are definitely not doing bad, and they are weakened by the absence of injured Mexes in defense. Roma has been crushed on the road against Cagliari losing by 5:1, which not even the craziest Cagliari fans didn’t expect. Roma has to wake up but I don’t think they will do that against Bayern, even though a win at Allianz would mean so much for that in this season that they would probably get on a big winning streak after that.
The hosts are better
Bayern side is currently better, even though they are not doing too well in Bundesliga at the moment, they are not conceding 5 goals per game at least. Roma has really made a wrong turn, losing 2 out of their 3 official matches, while they were not even far away from losing the 3rd match as well, as they are demoralized by the loss against Cagliari. Bayern is in a somewhat better position, physically, and cause of the fact they will play at home. Both could score but Bayern could nick in 3 on his own. Good luck!
