Liverpool isn`t playing too great at the moment, actually, nowhere near the level their fans and the public expects from them. The new coach Hodgson is still trying to find the best starting lineup, and his team is struggling to score goals. That is their main problem right now. The last two results prove that the best as they faced two mediocre sides, WBA and Birmingham, and scored just one goal, against last year`s Championship side WBA at home, despite the fact WBA even played with 10 men at one point. Striker Torres is still their main guy in the attack, while N`Gog isn`t that good of a player at all. Kuyt is also acting as some kind of an offensive winger, but he is and always will be a typical midfielder, unfortunately he is injured this time, while Babel is warming the bench for the most part. Gerrard might not play this match but still they have a few good players to replace him, but generally the squad is a bit too short for some bigger achievements, especially now that Mascherano is gone.
Pathetic
Steaua is a team with big tradition, they were European champs long ago and that`s why they have a lot of respect around Europe even today. However, the way they are playing at the moment is really pathetic. They barely qualified to Europa League by eliminating Grasshoppers, and in my opinion they didn`t deserve it. In the first leg, after an equal game, they won by 1:0 at home, but on the road they were totally inferior to the mediocre Swiss side, which kept toying around Steaua`s penalty box for the entire match, and wasted some unbelievable goal-scoring chances, finally scoring just once, but the result during the regular 90 mins should`ve been 4 or 5:0. Steaua kept kicking the ball as far away from their goal, and played just as if they were facing Chelsea or Barcelona, not Grasshoppers, which is a team that`s struggling to even leave a good impression in their own league. Then, they lost to Unirea`s B team, and a side that is about to go bankrupt. I think that should say enough about them. Plus they have a few important missings before this game.
Pool with no problems
No matter of the Reds’ scoring inefficiency lately, I believe this will be a perfect match for them to bounce back and get onto the winning ways in style. Against an opponent whose only goal will be to defend and lose by as little goal difference as possible, I think they can have a great practice, and i expect them to be on the attack for all 90 minutes, Rodriguez, Jovanovic, N’Gog, Torres (if he plays) to be having lots of fun and of course to score plenty of goals for their fans. I don`t doubt that Pool will take this game seriously and will want to leave a big impact in this competition this season. On the other hand, I predict the last place in the group for Steaua, and I am sure they won`t mind losing by 3-4 goals difference at least. The odds are huge as 2-0 is the least I expect here, and in that case we get the money back. However, I expect to make a nice profit here and Pool to win with no problems. Good luck.
