This will be 3rd friendly for Syria in December as part of the preparations for Asian games which will be held at the beginning of next year.In theire first two games they meet two time with Iraq and they share one win each with same result 1:0.Syria is not bad team and they give good fight to their more famous opponents from Asia. They also won Bahrein in November 2:0 in another friendly game so they are in good form.I think they will be more motivated side in this friendly.

Regular World Cup contestant

Korea Republic are definitely better team then Syria since they are regular contestant of World Cups.Same was this year where they had good campaign in South Africa. They passed the group stage and were knocked out from good Uruguay team. This will be their first friendly since October when they played 3 friendlies and had average success. They started with win over Nigeria 2:1 folowed with loss from Iran 0:1 and draw with Japan 0:0 in their last friendly.I think they will be little rusty after their period without competitive games.

Friendly draw expected

This is last game for the teams before Asian championship and most important for the teams is to stay healthy and try some tactics.Result is in second plan and with such approach there is high possibility this game will end with a draw beside we have clear favorite in Korea Republic. It is their first and last friendly before the competition started and there is possibility of underestimation of opponent.Syria is more prepared and will be definitely satisfied with that outcome. They already have played one friendly between eachother which ended 1:1 in 2009.

England have a long list of absentees, so Fabio Capello have benn forced to try out some fresh faces. Three of the regular defenders: John Terry, Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson are missing because of injury, so the Three Lions will use a new back-line, as only captain Rio Ferdinand holds his place. Jagielka-Ferdinand will be the center-pair, with Micah Richards on the right and Arsenal Kieron Gibbs at the left. On the other end of the field, other absentees: Wayne Rooney, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Darren Bent, Jermain Defoe and Bobby Zamora, so once again Capello will have no other option, but to experiment with Newcastle`s sensation, Andy Carroll or with Cardiff`s Jay Bothroyd, the first player called up from the Championship in the last 3 years.

Looking to continue the revival

Laurent Blanc haven`t had the ideal debut at the helms of Les Bleus, but France have recovered with three straight victories without conceding and it seems that they are starting to find their form under the former Bordeaux coach. Nicolas Anelka and Patrice Evra are still suspended, but apart them, Blanc can count on his best lads, including Premiership players such as Chelsea`s Florent Malouda or Arsenal trio Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri.

Lack of cohesion and experience

England will be without the core of the team, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney, with almost a completely new defense and with two hot-prospects making their debut: Andy Carroll (21 years old) and Jordan Henderson (20). Blanc will rely on the same players who won the last three qualifying games without conceding, so they will have a big advantage in terms of cohesion and experience.

Holland is one of the best teams in the world who is in my view playing probably the most beautiful football together with Spain, and recording outstanding results at the same time. Popular “Oranje” are vice-champions of the world and in the new European qualifying campaign they’ve also started out in a dominant fashion being the first in the standings with all 4 wins in that many matches so far. For this clash, Holland will also have players like Drenthe, Babel, van Bommel and van Persie available, which will surely only strengthen this already powerful squad. The players that won’t be available are Boulahrouz, Nigel de Jong, Emanuelson and De Zeeuw but those missings won’t change much in the ultra-offensive game of the hosts.

Young squad

Turkish side wants to get back to the European football map after failing to play at the WC, which was surely a huge disappointment for the nation that lives for football. Unfortunately, Turkey isn’t playing too well in the new qualifying campaign and after 2 starting wins, they managed to lose the next two matches: against Germany as expected, and against Azerbaijan, which was a total shock for their football public. They’re still in contention for going further but something obviously isn’t clicking in this squad so their coach Hiddink decided to test out some new faces that would be the future for this team, so he left out some key players from the previous period for this match such are Arda,Emre,Nihat,Tuncay,Aurelio,Halil and Erding and called up the anonymous guys, mostly from the domestic championship.

Clear home win

The last time I was so sure about one bet and went with maximum stakes was exactly when Turkey easily lost to Germany, and this time I expect yet another debacle by them. Holland will be playing with almost the best squad, and they’re always going with their full strength and motivated in front of their home crowd, where they regularly crush their opponents, and when we know that the Turks are one mediocre squad that will be using some younger players eager to show what they’re worth but who also lack quality, I don’t see how Holland will not win this one convincingly. The Turks are known for their horrible defensive displays and huge mistakes, and under the pressure of technically superior Dutch squad, I’ve got no doubts that inexperienced and weakened visitors will bow down multiple times. A home win here is the only logical choice. Good luck!

Without Ibrahimovic

Probable starting eleven: Isaksson, Wendt, Majstorovic, Granqvist, Lustig, Kallstrom, Wernbloom, Elm, Larsson, Toivonen, Berg. The biggest news connected with Sweden national team is Zlatan Ibrahimovic missing. After the big Milan derby that was decided exactly by Ibrahimovic, he ask to be rest from this match. Sweden national team coach Erik Hamren accept his demand and he won`t play here. I think this is the big handicap for Sweden.

In good series

Probable starting eleven: Neuer, Beck, Westermann, Mertesacker, Boateng, Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Marin, Kroos, Holtby, Gomez. Germany is in good form. Coach Joachim Loew will also be handicapped as some important players are out. Veteran striker Miroslav Klose and defender Holger Badstuber are out due to injuries. Some other players are also out – Mesut Oezil, Philipp Lahm and Thomas Mueller. Still, I think Germany have many quality players and coach Loew can find adequate replacements.

Game without many goals

I don`t expect many goals here. The main reason is that both teams will be handicapped. For Sweden out of the team is the best striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is in good form, he decide the Milan derby, but coach Hamren decide to rest him after some very hard matches for Milan. Because of that I think Sweden attack won`t be so dangerous like with him. On other side Germany will also play without some very important players. I expect a tactical battle between two coaches. In that situation, Under 2.5 goals is the best choice.

Coach Mosimane decided to test some new players in this friendly, but we will still be able to see the likes of Mosisela, Pienaar, Tshabalala, Modise, Dikgacoi or Parker, very experienced players who also featured at the World Cup. Some new and promising faces were called, including Leeds’ striker Somma and Sundowns’ midfielder Matthew Pattison, one of the hottest players from the domestic league.

South Africa’s roster:

Goalkeepers: Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs), Moeneeb Josephs (Orlando Pirates).

Defenders: Morgan Gould (SuperSport), Siboniso Gaxa (Lierse, Belgium), Tsepo Masilela (Maccabi Haifa, Israel), Siyabonga Sangweni (Golden Arrows), Anele Ngcongca (Genk, Belgium), Bevan Fransman (Hapoel Tel Aviv, Israel), Siyanda Xulu (Mamelodi Sundowns), Keegan Ritchie (Moroka Swallows).

Midfielders: Teko Modise (Pirates), Andile Jali (Pirates), Siphiwe Tshabalala (Chiefs), Reneilwe Letsholonyane (Chiefs), Steven Pienaar (Everton, England), Thanduyise Khuboni (Arrows), Daylon Claasen (Lierse, Belgium), Matthew Pattison (Sundowns), Kagisho Dikgacoi (Fulham, England).

Forwards: Sthembiso Ngcobo (Chiefs), Kermit Erasmus (SuperSport), Davide Somma (Leeds, England), Bernard Parker (Twente, Netherlands).

The yanks

USA will have to travel again to South Africa, few months after the World Cup, to play this friendly game. It is a long trip and more likely they will accuse the tiredness of the trip. The MLS play offs are on their way, same like the big European leagues, so coach Bradley decided to test some new players in this friendly and leave all the big guns at their clubs. Except gk Guzan, defenders Bornstein, Goodson and Spector, there are only players with maximum 10-12 call ups and 5 guys will make their NT debut.

USA’s roster:

Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa, England), Dominic Cervi (Celtic, Scotland).
Defenders: Nat Borchers (Real Salt Lake), Eric Lichaj (Aston Villa, England), Clarence Goodson (Brøndby, Denmark), Jonathan Spector (West Ham, England), Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA/Tigres, Mexico), Tim Ream (New York Red Bulls), Gale Agbossoumonde (Miami FC/Sporting Braga, Portugal).
Midfielders: Brian Carroll (Columbus Crew), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew), Eddie Gaven (Columbus Crew), Mikkel Diskerud (Stabæk, Norway), Alejandro Bedoya (Örebro, Sweden), Logan Pause (Chicago Fire).
Forwards: Robbie Findley (Real Salt Lake), Teal Bunbury (Kansas City Wizards). Juan Agudelo (New York Red Bulls).

Home win

These two teams meet two times before, USA emerging victorious every time. Now, the date of the problem are changed, since USA will play with a very inexperienced squad, with a questionable quality. I believe South Africa has what it takes to win this and I will take them at some (still) great odds. Also, a secondary bet which is worth to be tried is the HT-FT option, since i believe the hosts will take the game into their hands early in the game and the lack of cohesion from the American squad should be punished sooner rather than later. Low stakes, since it`s a friendly game after all.

Argentina is an excellent side, which always has more solutions at every position and a proper substitution is always ready on the bench. Kun Aguero and Tevez won’t be in their attack this time but that shouldn’t worry them too much as there are still Messi, Higuain, Milito (might not play) and many other great strikers. Sergio ‘Checho’ Batista is their new coach who signed with the team until 2014. He called up 25 players for this match, and there also won’t be Samuel and probably Milito on the squad this time. I think that with a bit weakened lineup, Argentina will have to fight hard to get the win and I feel like they won’t manage to achieve that goal.

Always unpleasant

Brazil should field the following lineup: Victor; Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Andre Santos; Ramires, Lucas, Elias, Ronaldinho; Robinho, Neymar. This Brazilian side seems a lot better than the one Argentina will use at the stadium in Doha. Brazil is always an unpleasant side to play against, and the same thing will be now as well but I don’t think they will be able to do much early in the game, and all things will probably be resolved in the 2nd half.

Neutral field, huge rivalry

This match is played on neutral field in Doha, Qatar, so none of the sides will have a home-field advantage obviously even though this is just a friendly, there is still a huge rivalry between these sides. If there will be anything to be decided in this match, it’s gonna happen in the 2nd half and in my view, there will be a tight first half that will end without the winner. It’s hard to pick the winner between this sides, on one side we’ve got Messi and the crew, on another, I will just say Brazil. That team is always unpleasant as they play attractive footie no matter what lineup they use, and their aim is to have fun on the field. My advice will be a halftime draw, but eventually I give a slight advantage to Brazil to win it at the end. Good luck!

Coach Tsang Wai Chung took charge of the Hong Kong national team and he has to face a big challenge against Paraguay tomorrow. This national team is nothing impressive in Asia, them being able to win only against their opponents from South Asia region. And winning against the likes of Macau, India or Maldives doesn’t look impressive to anyone. Anyway, their U23 showed a nice figure during the Asian Games but the coach decided to call only “experienced” players for the clash against Paraguay. All the convoked players are playing in their domestic league and this says a lot about their value and potential.

A class above

Paraguay will travel to Hong Kong to play this friendly, to honor their new sponsorship deal with the AET company based there. They are preparing for Copa America and coach Martino took this opportunity to test some new players, not neglecting all the big guns though. So, along experienced players like Villar, Paulo da Silva, Riveros, Vera, Barreto or Santa Cruz, we will see some new faces, like the ex U20 outfits Joel Silva, Celso Ortiz, Hernan Perez, and Federico Santander.

Away win

This is a very unbalanced game, from every point of view. Even if the South Americans will have a relaxed approach, I expect them to comfortably win it, since the quality gap between these teams is simply huge. The bookies’ offers aren’t too attractive regarding this game, but Betgun offers a nice 2,5 AH and this is worth to try for small stakes. Also, the ht-ft for Paraguay is an option, with Bwin offering at the moment the best odds, even with 0,20 higher than other bookies.

After their clash with Iran from Abu Dhabi, Brazil will travel to derby in order to face Ukraine. Despite winning 3-0 against Iran and missing several other good chances, Brazil wasn’t impressive. They looked chaotic at time and, despite Menezes’ will to change some of the players from the standard team, I doubt he could replace more than 2-3 of his regulars. For this game, Coutinho will take a sit on the bench, after proving against Iran that he still has a lot to learn before wearing the Brazilian t-shirt. He could be replace by Barca’s Adriano or Eliseu, this meaning the 4-3-3 could change to a 4-4-2.

Many missing players

Ukraine is still licking its wounds after missing the World Cup, them not managing more than a 2-2 draw against Canada last week. They will be without many regular faces for tonight, including Shevcenko, Chigrinsky, Yarmolenko, Shovkosvsky, Rusol or Mykhalik. Pretty impressive list. Still they have a lot of quality remaining, and players like Milevskyi, Alyev or Tymoschuk could trouble any team in the world. It is worth mentioning that besides Kucher and maybe Mandzyuk, the defensive line is very inexperienced, none of the other defenders having more than 5-6 appearances for the national team.

Goals

Brazil showed its expected quality upfront against Iran but they looked totally unfocused at times, while their defense managed to make mistakes even against such a poor opponent. Iran had a wrongly disallowed goal in the 5th minute while Nekounam managed to miss from the goal line in the second half. Ukraine is from a different league compared with the Persians and I believe they could trouble Brazil here. Also, the Brazilians should be more focused and motivated against Ukraine and this could only lead to an entertaining fixture. The goal line is quite low considering both team’s offensive capabilities and defensive issues so I am willing to try a bet on goals.

Macau is the weakest team on this tournament and are also coming with theire under 23 team. They lost theire first match from host Chinese Taipei with huge resilt 7:1.I don’t think they will show better performance today since they are very limited team and have only one day between games. That is because first round games were scheduled for 8th October but because of rain was postponed and played yesterday.

Favorite on this tournament

Hong Kong are one of the weakest Asian teams but on this tournament they are set as favorites since other teams are even worst. They will play with theire under 23 team as ussual but will have couple of players older. They already won theire first game yesterday against Philippines 4:2 in bad game but they show good scoring skills.Today they have easier opponent and I expect another convincing win from them.

Big quality differnece

This is game from Long Teng friendly cup held in Chinese Taipei between favorites of the tournament and worst team there.Quality difference is obvious from first games where Hong Kong won 4:2 against better team then their todays opponent and Macau was destroyed from hosts with 1:7.Because of that odds on Hong Kong are 1.04 but I found very interesting odds for over 3,5 goals.According to first round games this line seems low and Hong Kong are capable to score 4 by theire own if not more.
