Probable starting eleven: Stech; Spector, Gabbidon, Upson, Ilunga; Behrami, Kovac, Parker, Stanislas; Cole, McCarthy. West Ham won 3:1 at Saturday against Wigan and I must say manager Avram Grant was very satisfied with his players performance. Behrami, Obinna and Scott Parker were the scorers and I am sure that victory will bring back some of the lost confidence. For this match manager Avram Grant has no fresh injury worries. Only five long term casualties are out of the team – Manuel da Costa, Jack Collison, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Anthony Edgar and Peter Kurucz.
At the top of the table
Probable starting eleven: Amos; Brown, Smalling, Evans, Evra; Nani, Anderson, Gibson, Giggs, Park; Rooney. Sir Alex Ferguson decide to rest some of his best players for the trip to London. On goalkeeper position will start unknown Amos, one of the central defenders will be relatively inexperienced Chris Smalling, while Gibson will play in midfield. I am sure they are not on desired level and they rarely or never play in the league. Speaking of injuries, Ferguson will be without Paul Scholes, Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves and Antonio Valencia.
Small surprise in London
I expect a small surprise in London. Usually Carling Cup is known as a competition with many surprises. For example, teams like Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City are already out of the competition. Why i think manchester United could be the next? From three reasons. First, West Ham finally won at Saturday and the players confidence is now bigger. Second, Manchester United is playing non stop in four competitions. I am sure the players are little tired, even I am well aware of the fact they are professionals. And the third reason, Manchester United will play with some very inexperienced players like goalkeeper Amos, Smalling and Gibson.
