On October 10, from 19:45 pm, Slovakia receives the visit of Wales, in the 7th round of Group E of the Euro 2020 preliminaries. We expect a match with goals in the arena in Trnava.
Slovakia is second in Group E, with 3 wins in 5 stages and 9 points, one behind the leader Croatia. Wales has 6 points and is in 4th place (4-4 goal), being in great need of points. Azerbaidjan is the only one who does not count in the qualification calculations.
The Welshmen won with the Azeri in the previous stage, score 2-1 on their own ground, in a match decided in the last minutes. Then followed a success in the friendly with Belarus, but the attack of the whites is not exactly convincing. Apart from Bale, the British no longer have the spark that helped them to Euro 2016, and the modest evolutions with Hungary (0-1) and Croatia (1-2) almost compromise their chances.
Slovakia comes after clear victories with Jordan (5-1 in friendly) and Azerbaijan (5-1 away), and in the previous stage the team achieved great success on foreign soil. It was 2-1 in Hungary, a result that turned the Slovaks into favorites in second place. Interestingly, Wales has won the last three straight duels with Slovaks, scores 1-0, 2-1 and 5-2! Not only the version of the attack, visitors could register at Trnava, which would provide us with the expected profit.
It is possible that the match will only open in the second part, depending on the score on the table. But statistics show us that in each of the 4 direct duels of the two countries scored at least one goal in the first quarter of an hour! This denudant is, however, unlikely now.
