Sevilla – Spartak Moscova Champions League Prediction and Preview: 1st November 2017
The Moscow Nightmare, unrepeatable
Although she was favorite in winning the match in Moscow, two weeks ago, Sevilla committed her worse than would have been expected by even the most pessimistic fans. Although the match was a really balanced one, with a similar number of occasions on both sides, the Andalusians ended up losing a 1-1 victory, being “relegated” to 3rd in Group E. Even so nothing is lost and even in the case of a draw on Wednesday evening, Sevilla does not lose its chances in the 2nd place.
They came back
After a nearly sluggish start of the season, at least on the domestic front, Russia’s champion champion Spartak Moscow was on a really upward trend, not seeing a failure of nearly two and a half months from that 3- 4 with Lokomotiv Moscow. Leading 13 matches without defeat in all competitions, Muscovites have the moral cannon after the unexpected victory in the tour in front of Sevilla (5-1) and are preparing for a new pleasant surprise, this time on “Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan”.
Probable teams:
Sevilla (4-3-3): Rico – Mercado, Kjaer, Lenglet, Escudero – Banega, Pizarro, N’Zonzi – Navas, Ben Yedder, Nolito
Absentees: Carrico, Pareja, Correa (both injured)
Spartak Moscow (4-2-3-1): Selikhov- Eshchenko, Tasci, Jikia, Kombarov- Fernando, Glushakov- Bakaev, Popov, Promes- Adriano
Absentee: Zobnin, Tigiev, Ananidze, Samedov, Ze Luis, Bocchetti (injured)
Conclusions & tips
Given the circumstances of this game, we are expecting a spectacular showdown of hostilities, it’s true, not as spectacular as the tour. Although we are aware that we will not witness a scenario similar to Moscow, that does not mean that Spartak is the sure victim of Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. The Andalusians are indeed favorites, but the excellent form they pass through can be easily reflected in the final result of this match.
