Sevilla – Leganes: 11th March 2017

Sevilla lost ground in the title race. Last round, the team only managed a draw away to Alaves. At home though, Sevilla won the most recent three matches, including the Champions League with Leicester. The team has defended very well at home, being not only one goal in the last four games played on Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Leganes has not won any game away on October 1st. The team still get good results in the matches at home with Deportivo La Coruna and Granada. They might give courage before this match at Sevilla, but it is unlikely that the team will be able to achieve better results than in previous movements. It is also true, playing in Madrid, Atletico, Barcelona and Valencia, the recent period has not been an easy one for Leganes. Unfortunately for them, this dark period may be extended by at least another week. For now, Leganes still managed to escape from the vicinity of the teams in the relegation zone. Five points separate it from ranked 18 in the rankings, Granada. The team should focus more on other parties in the near future with the team more accessible, such as those with Malaga and Osasuna.

Sevilla won the first leg, but had no easy life on Estadio Municipal Butarque. Team leading 2-0 after just under an hour, but two quick goals from the home team have restored balance. Sevilla still marked the winning goal five minutes before the end of normal time and got a win can undeserved. Leganes and created many chances to score at home, even if the guests have dominated.
