QPR – Wolves Prediction and Preview (01.12.2016)

QPR-Wolves

Preview

QPR and Wolves started the campaign with new optimism, but the results quickly began to go bad and both clubs fired their managers in November. Both Ian Holloway and Paul Lambert are only 2 games away from their reigns and both are trying to recover from the disappointing results of the weekend.

QPR was well beaten by 3-0 in Ipswich to finish emphatically any period of Holloway honeymoon could have had on their return to the West London club. He won his first home game at Norwich but benefited from visitors having a man sent in just the 2nd minute. QPR had won only 1 of their previous 7 home games and although their average barely 1.33 points per game on Loftus Road this term so it is not a fortress and there is hope for visitors, despite their horrible form.

The wolves are now without a win in 9 games and more than 2 months of football so it has been a very long fall for the Black Country side. They have not yet scored in 2 games with Lambert and are now out of the downhill zone in the goals difference. Clearly then the confidence is not high in the field of the Wolves and it is difficult to make a case for them pocketing maximum points here. However, the Scot is an experienced champion and his team has been polishing the results on the road.

They have tied 3 of their last 4 games away from the Championship and 44% of their games on the road in the league this season have finished the level. They also have a pretty good record in this field so it looks capable of at least frustrating QPR and grabbing a point from the game. Three of QPR’s last 7 home games have ended in 1-1 draws and neither side really has a player with something a bit special, which you think could produce a moment of magic to win this.
