Nice vs Rennes PREVIEW & PREDICTION 14/09/2018

On Friday, starting at 18:00, the Nice – Rennes game will be played in the 5th round of the first French league, the 2018-2019 edition.

Starting with the 2014-2015 season, the hosts won four of the disputes, two ended in a tie and three of them had triumphed Rennes. Last season, Nice defeated 1-0 away, scoring 1-1 at home.

The band trained by Arsenal’s legend Patrick Vieira missed the start of the new season. One point in the first 3 stages, but he washed all his sins in the previous round. Nice defeated Lyon with 1-0, after the hosts had not less than 29 goals. Star Balotelli played 75 minutes against the Lyoners, but was injured, being uncertain for the Friday match.

Rennes has a very good seasonal debut, impressive on its own. The group on Roazhon Park is ranked sixth in the standings, with 7 points. After last season, under the baton of Sabri Lamouchi, the “red-blacks” got an honorable place 5. In the last round they defeated Bordeaux at home, scoring 2-0, through the goals scored by Andre and Bensebaini.

Taking into account the last direct parties and the fact that both teams do not attack, we can anticipate a balanced confrontation, in which many goals will not be scored. It will be hard for one of them to achieve victory, which is why we urge caution!

Probable teams:

Nice: Benitez – Jallet, Herelle, Dante, Sarr, Burner – Melou, Tameze, Cyprien – Saint-Maximin, Maolida

Rennes: Koubek – Bensebaini, Edson, Gelin, Traore – Bourigeaud, Andre – Del Castillo, Grenier, Sarr – Siebatcheu

PREDICTION: Both teams to score / YES @ 1.82
