Problems on the end

Olympique Lyon ranks fourth in the Ligue 1 standings, with 60 points gathered in 35 rounds. Thus, Bruno Genesio’s students are almost sure of qualifying in the Europa League next season, but the main goal is near failure. “Les Gones” have definitely missed the tour of Amsterdam in the UEFA Europa League semifinals in front of Ajax, 1-4, and the chances for the French to return the result on their own are very low. On top of each other, strictly referring to Sunday’s direct match, the hosts will have a difficult game, given that the star of the team, striker Alexandre Lacazette, is uncertain.

An honorable season

Nantes ranks 8th in the Ligue 1 hierarchy, with 48 points scored after 35 stages. So, Sergjo Conceicao’s band had a more than decent track in this Ligue 1 edition, currently only a 7th point, occupied by St. Louis. Etienne. Given that Nantes ended his 14th season, “Canarians” have made a real breakthrough, but shadowed by a precarious goal (34-47). Even so, 13 of the last 14 visits of ‘canaries’ on ‘Olympique Lyonnais Park’ ended with the victory of the hosts, so we can say that Nantes has developed a real complex in confrontation with those in Lyon.
