LEGANES VS BETIS PREVIEW & PREDICTION

There will be a tear on Saturday afternoon during and after the meeting between Leganes and Real Betis. Asier Garitano says goodbye to Leganes after a very successful period. Opponent Real Betis is planning to ruin his farewell party.

Leganes:

Leganes has been insured for a while now and is therefore relatively relaxed towards the last race of the season. Regardless of Saturday afternoon’s result against Real Betis, the Madrid players finish in seventeenth place. With only one point from the last five games, the Madrid team have not been in shape in recent weeks, but this weekend they will want to give everything again. The home game against Real Betis is in the sign of the farewell of trainer Asier Garitano, who will close the door of the Butarque this summer. Under the direction of the success coach, the team managed to promote from the Segunda B to La Liga, where it has now been able to maintain its position for two seasons.

Frankly, I think Garitano is wise to leave right now, because especially the last few weeks, the many shortcomings of Leganes are regularly painfully visible. On the basis of an unbridled work and fighting spirit, the team can make it difficult for everyone, but it also suffers from a poignant lack of creativity and scoring ability. Only the hopeless relegations of Malaga and Las Palmas scored less this season than Los Pepineros. The fact that midfielder Gabriel Pires has only five goals enough to call himself a top scorer speaks volumes. So the new coach still has enough work to do at the store.

Real Betis:

For Real Betis, the away match against Leganes is the final chord of a very successful season. The Andalusians played 2-2 draw in the derby against Sevilla last weekend, so they are assured of participating in the Europa League’s main event, and for the first time in years they end up over arch-rival Sevilla. A great achievement, since the green-witches only work with the ninth budget of Spain.

The super season is largely due to Quique Setien, who in my opinion is one of the best trainers in Europe. In the first half of the season, Real Betis played rather naively, but since the win of Marc Bartra, the average number of counter-matches per game has shrunk considerably. In addition, Setien is not afraid to include talents like Junior Firpo and Loren Moron. Especially attacker Loren is with seven goals in fourteen performances a direct sensation on the Spanish fields. This makes the late bloomer the most effective ‘winter purchase’ of La Liga. It will be a big job for Real Betis to keep him in the Benito Villamarin, although he would like to go into Europe with green-greens next season.

PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.74
