Thursday at 19:45 pm on “Daugavas” in Riga will take place the duel of the Group VII stage G in the preliminaries of the European Championship 2020 between Latvia and Poland.
The hosts are without victory and no accumulated point in this group, having defeats on line in all the sustained parties having a goal of 1-21.
On the other side Poland is the leader in the group with 13 points, two lengths ahead of Slovenia and three over Austria.
After four consecutive group victories, however, Poland started to make the wrong steps, giving Slovenia a 2-0 draw and drawing on their own with Austria, a 0-0 score.
An eventual wrong step by Poland in the away duel with Latvia would greatly complicate the calculations in this group. The difference in value between the two formations is, however, noticeable in the value of Poland, which won the match on its own ground with a score of 2-0, and who is more than sure that it will do its best in the 90 minutes of on “Daugavas” to take another big step towards EURO 2020.
