INTER VS TORINO PREVIEW & PREDICTION

On Sunday, at 19:30, Inter will receive the visit of FC Torino in a match for the second round of Serie A. The game will take place at the “Giuseppe Meazza” stadium in Milan.

After a fabulous transfer campaign this summer, Spalletti failed to close some of the newcomers in the first “11” fast enough to form a solid Inter since the first round. Thus, the “nerazzurrii” clashed with this “nera beast” called Sassuolo (0-1), which won incredibly eight of the last nine direct confrontations against the Milanese. However, failure in the inaugural phase is not necessarily a cause for concern; if it is followed by other negative results, and Torino is, apparently, another team that has a recent history in the direct duels against the Inter.

Even so, after a good deal of time, “unhappiness” finally has a reserve bank as a book. With names such as Dalbert, Miranda, Nainggolan, Gagliardini, Candreva or Keita Balde Diao, Spalletti could quietly make a the first “11” alternative that could turn out to be as competitive and effective against Torino as the one announced in the Italian press.

In the last ten direct confrontations between the two bands, Inter was imposed three times, Turin in three other rows, while four other disputes ended indecisively;

Four of the previous five direct games ended with goals on both sides;

The last direct match took place in the last season’s return, when “Il Toro” imposed himself on the home limit, score 1-0;

Probable teams:

Inter (4-2-3-1): Handanovic- Vrsaljko, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah- Vecino, Brozovic- Politano, Martinez, Perisic- Icardi

FC Torino (3-5-2): Sirigu- Izzo, N’Koulou, Moretti- De Silvestri, Soriano, Rincon, Meite, Ansaldi- Iago Falque, Belotti

Given the circumstances of this game, we expect a solid evolution of the hosts. Inter is forced to wash out the sins after the defeat in the last round and a success in the first match of this season in front of their fans is the perfect opportunity for Spalletti’s students to recover early without being harshly judged prematurely. In addition, Torino, who missed the final of a match with Rome (0-1) last season, showed a modest evolution without giving the impression that Giuseppe Meazza would make a huge surprise on Sunday night.

PREDICTION: Inter to win @ 1.49
