HANSA ROSTOCK VS JENA PREVIEW & PREDICTION

On the 31st matchday of the 3rd league, Hansa Rostock and Carl Zeiss Jena face the Rostocker Ostseestadion. Hansa Rostock is currently on the sixth place in the table, to which one fell back last from third place. Of course, Hansa Rostock as former Erstligaklub ambitions on the re-emergence in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the current season Hansa came closer to this goal for a long time, after having finished in the last few years with places in the bottom half of the third division of the German league. However, eight days before the end of the season, Hansa Rostock is again nine points from a promotion place.

In case of defeat, there is a danger of being handed down to seventh place should Unterhaching win. After the rise from the Regionalliga last year Jena moved to the beginning of the season on a relegation zone, but could then fight on the 15th place in the table. Currently, they have worked out a good seven-point cushion on the next relegation zone, with the addition that Carl Zeiss Jena denied by game transfers between two and three league games less than the pursuers. If Jena should end the next game, as well as the catch-up games, with point wins, so you could further expand the cushion and even move to the top half of the table.

Rostock:

Hansa Rostock is the favorite and with the home advantage in the upcoming game. After a strong series of eight wins in ten games, which was marred only by two defeats against the SF Lotte and Preußen Münster, the engine of Hansa stalled last. None of the last five games was won – instead, there were three defeats. However, one of these defeats was narrowly beaten 2-1 at home by leaders SC Paderborn (despite a 2-0 lead), while all other games were played away. In its own stadium, Hansa Rostock is usually a different caliber.

This proves a series of seven home wins from nine games, before the defeat against Paderborn. Among other things, the table second, the 1st FC Magdeburg, were beaten 1-0 on 26 Matchday. The defense of Hansa Rostock has received the third-lowest goals of the league with only 29 goals conceded and is therefore classified as quite reliable. In the attack, the two strikers Marcel Hilßner and Marcel Ziemer fall longer due to injury. In addition, the team of Pavel Dotchev is fully operational. Top scorer and center forward Soufian Benyamina, who scored eleven times in 29 appearances for his club and was always allowed to play in the final matches, will be there.

Jena:

As promoted Jena proved in the last fifteen league games that the FCC can certainly keep up in the 3rd league. Only four defeats had the team of coach Mark Zimmermann in the last 15 games. It was beaten 1-0 in their own stadium even the SC Paderborn, as well as Wehen Wiesbaden with a terrific 4: 3. At home, the team was always particularly motivated and successful. However, on the weekend the away balance prevails and that is jet black for Carl Zeiss Jena. Not one of the last eleven away games could win Jena, but eight games were lost in series. That means in plain English, Jena could get away only three points from eleven games.

As a result, Jena occupies the penultimate place in the away table of the 3rd league. After all, currently only midfielder Maximilian Schlegel is injured, while the top striker Jena, center forward Timmy Thiele, who scored eight goals in only 13 missions for Jena, is ready for action again. This had failed until mid-March due to flu and therefore lacked pain. Whether he will be 100 percent fit against Rostock again has to be questioned.
