GENOA VS VERONA PREVIEW & PREDICTION

On Monday, at 19:45, Genoa will receive a visit to Hellas Verona in a match for the 34th Serie A round. The match will take place at the “Stadio Luigi Ferraris” in Genova.

Failing to meet the expectations of Italy’s first football, Hellas Verona is ready to “embrace” the second round again. With 22 defeats booked in 33 stages and a defeat (26-65), the gialloblu group is four points away from relegation from relegation, but the outlook is not soothing. Basically, only two victories in the next two matches, with Genoa and SPAL contracandidate, could equate to the light on the end of the Veronese tunnel. Hellas will also participate in this season’s final of confrontations against AC Milan and Juventus, so that, in proportion of 80%, Fabio Pecchia’s students are sentenced to Serie B.

As for Genoa, “Griffons” woke up in time to fight to avoid relegation and, having achieved notable results in the last five stages, distanced themselves considerably from the “red area”, occupying a comfortable venue 12 away from worries in the basement of the hierarchy. Even so, this does not mean that the Genoese “will leave it softer” on Monday evening, in front of Verona. Showing a defensive organization to be envied lately, “grifonii” remain the favorites of this confrontation, in front of a team that, however motivated to be saved from relegation, is inferior to the Genoese in almost all respects.

In the last eight direct clashes between the two bands, Genoa was forced four times, Verona in the other two rows, while the other two duels ended unsettled;

The previous direct dispute took place in the tournament of this championship, when Genoa imposed the limit on “Marc’Antonio Bentegodi”, score 1-0;

Hellas’s last victory on the “Griffon” field dates back to August 2012, from a qualification in the 16th Cup of Italy after the penalty shootout;

Probable teams:

Genoa (3-5-2): Perin- El Yamiq, Rossettini, Zukanovic-Lazovic, Hiljemark, Cofie, Rigoni, Laxalt-Lapadula, Medeiros

H. Verona (4-3-3): Nicolas- Romulo, Caracciolo, Vukovic, Souprayen- Zuculini, Danzi, Calvano-Cerci, Fares, Verde

PREDICTION: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.80
