Saturday evening, at 17:00, the last two runners-up in Serie A are due in the 38th round of the championship. Chievo is on the last place in Italy (25-75 golaver), eight points behind Frosinone (go-round 29-69). The moment of the two is far from impressive and the game on the Stadio Benito Stirpe does not promise a special show.
Without Chibsah, Gori and Salamon, Frosinone is trying a rare result – a victory in front of his own fans, breaking away from the first league. Frosinone has only one home win this season (in 18 games), while Chievo has only one victory in stadium (18 games). Both rivals lacked offensive force in the fight to avoid relegation.
Already convicted, both have disappointed lately, and Frosinone suffered four failures in the last five stages: 0-1 with Cagliari, 0-2 with Napoli, 1-3 with Udinese and 0-2 with AC Milan. On the opposite side, Veronesians are scored in the previous three rounds: 0-4 with SPAL, 0-2 with Inter and 0-0 with Sampdoria. Interestingly, however, Chievo has won the last six official duels with Frosionone, regardless of the match or competition in which the game was played!
In the tour was 1-0 for Chievo, on the field, after Giaccherini’s decisive goal, in the 76th minute. Frosinone played in numerical inferiority in the 58th minute, which finally made the difference in favor of the hosts. 20 sutures were sent to the goal in that match, but only seven of them were drawn, with a score of 4-2 on the corners, in favor of Chievo. Just like then, we are expecting a duel again in which the gaps will be a luxury for both camps.
