Young PSV will travel to North Holland on Friday evening for a game against FC Volendam. The team of trainer Wim Jonk had probably imagined a better start to the season. Will they succeed in turning the tide against the Eindhoven promises?

FC Volendam was seen as one of the outsiders to win the championship prior to the new season of the Kitchen Champion Division. The team from Volendam made an impression with freshly cared for football during the previous season that was prematurely interrupted. That the current start of the season is disappointing can be called an understatement. The Other Orange is in a meager fifteenth place with six points from six matches.
The most recent match before the international period awaited the Volendam team an away match in Kerkrade against Roda JC. Nick Doodeman gave FC Volendam the lead after fifteen minutes of play from a rebound. The team of trainer Jonk had a good opportunity to double the score before the break, stomach eventually rested with a 1-0 lead. In a not very uplifting second half, Roland Alberg made the 1-1 on behalf of the Kerkraders from the penalty spot, which would also be the final score.

Young PSV is actually the only promise team in the Kitchen Champion Division that has a reasonable start to the competition. Although it must be said that the team of trainer Peter Uneken at NAC Breda (1-2 loss) has not yet played against title candidates.
