Everton vs Southampton PREVIEW & PREDICTION 18/08/2018

EVERTON VS SOUTHAMPTON PREVIEW & PREDICTION

On Saturday at 15:00 on Goodison Park, Everton receives Southampton’s second round of the Premier League. Everton’s fans are looking forward to seeing Mario Silva’s team, who spent 100 million euros this summer and made great feelings with the Brazilian star Richarlison at the forefront!

Everton drew to Wolverhampton in the first round, score 2-2, where Richarlison managed a spectacular “double”. It was not enough for the win, but that’s because Jagielka was eliminated before the break and Everton had to play in half a half.

For Everton, it will take a while for the team to be 100% homogenized and at full potential. As we expect, there are non-synchronizations in the white-blue defensive, and Silva’s tactical system is one that encourages the attack, which sometimes leaves hard to cover. Southampton, on the other hand, has shown that he has a lot of difficulties in this season, where he gets quite difficult in clear positions – lack of speed and flair. In the past, Southampton has scored 18 times at the goal, but only four sutures have been scored.

Southampton disappointed bettors in the first round: 0-0.

In the first round, Mark Hughes’s “saints” made 0-0 at home with Burnley, after a match in which the white-reds were not at all effective at the goal and the best man was goalkeeper Alex McCarthy. Tadic’s departure will be great, and Charlie Austin has not received enough balls in the outposts to make a difference in front of Sean Dyche’s band.

On one hand, Southampton has an incomplete batch, although the presence of Danny Ings could be auspicious for the southern ones. But Southampton does not have defensive safety, being close to Burnley’s failure, a team that has had many absences and an extra fatigue! Without incisiveness in front of the side gate and spaces between lines, the guests are lazy.

Statistics tell us that the host team usually adjudges this match directly. Everton made only 1-1 at home in the last game, but is unbeaten by six “goodies” on Goodison Park. In the last two duels scored both bands, but guests will need a good performance to register for Liverpool. But I can take advantage of the weaknesses of the hosts! Even if the last four matches of Southampton have scored at most two goals, this time we are expecting an animated second half, with spaces left by both teams.

THE PROBABLE TEAMS

Everton: Pickford – Coleman, Keane, Holgate, Baines – Gueye, Schneiderlin – Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison – Tosun

Southampton: McCarthy – Stephens, Vestergaard, Hoedt – Cedric, Romeu, Lemina, Bertrand – Armstrong, Redmond – Austin

PREDICTION: Everton to win @ 1.95
