Espanyol defeated Deportivo La Coruna last round. It was the only success for Quique Sanches Flores team, but during this time the team had to face Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Victoria brings the club to the ninth place in La Liga, just a point away from Eibar. Exceeding the Basques in the standings is all that Espanyol can do in this season’s end and would not have a major impact on the club. The Catalans had a rather good season and should be pleased.

Valencia comes after a clear victory on home with Osasuna. Ezequiel Garay scored twice for “bats”, while Simone Zaza scored again. Guests have had problems with recent trips. In five of the last six games in La Liga, Valencia has received at least two goals and lost those clashes. Such a scenario should be avoided by Valencia. Although it is a match without an important stake, the guest group would like to conclude with a positive result the last move of the season.
