Dijon – PSG Ligue 1 Prediction and Preview

Preview

Dijon – PSG: 14th October 2017

Saved in the extreme since relegation last season, Dijon also confirms in his current season the status of the candidate team to avoid the “red” area. With only six points in eight stages and one success in the last ten matches played in all competitions, the modest Dijon managed to score through a qualitative offensive game, already enrolling 10 times in this championship. As a comparison, Nantes, ranked fourth in Ligue 1, scored only six times in eight rounds.

Much superior

Undoubtedly, Paris Saint-Germain is one of the most powerful soccer teams in the world today. With an offensive that does not forgive anything, regardless of the opponent’s name, the Parisians can already be considered champions, as the difference between them and the rest of the teams in Ligue 1 is a huge one. Under these circumstances, Dijon’s move will not only make a comfortable victory for Unai Emery’s band, but we can witness a new PSG-like score like the one in the previous round: 6-2 with Bordeaux.
Direct meetings

Six direct confrontations took place between the two bands in recent history. The PSG was imposed five times, while Dijon made it only once in a cup match in autumn 2011;

The latest direct dispute took place in February this year, when the Parisians were forced to “Gaston Gerard”, score 3-1;

Probable teams:

Dijon (4-4-2): Reynet-Chafik-Varrault, Djilobodji, Rosier-Chang-Hoon, Amalfitano, Xeka, Sliti-Said, Jeannot

Absentees: Lautoa, Abeid (injured), Yambere (suspended)

PSG (4-2-3-1): Areola – Meunier, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Yuri – Verratti, Rabiot – Mbappe, Draxler, Neymar – Cavani

Absenti: Pastore, Kurzawa (?), Silva (?) (Injured)

Conclusions & tips

Given the circumstances of this game, we expect a spectacular hostile run. Intelligently analyzing the game, things are very simple. Having the offensive system available in the full version, PSG will not have any problems in getting a profound victory in the first half. It is almost impossible to believe that the Parisians will take another wrong step after their previous move, Montpellier (0-0), ended with a draw, largely because of Neymar’s absence. Even so, we can speculate the good gameplay of Dijon’s attack, as well as the defensive shorts of Unai Emery’s pupils who, having some names that do not impress enormously in defense, are getting the ball pretty easy.
