Cyprus – Greece World Cup qualifiers Prediction and Preview

Preview

Cyprus – Greece: 7th October 2017

Three teams can finish second in Group H. Two of them face this game, while Bosnia Herzegovina meets the leader, Belgium. This is an important opportunity for each of the two teams to win ground, but only Greece can see that it has real chances to qualify for the next year’s final tournament.

Cyprus achieved a fabulous result in a match played in late August. Then, in just ten minutes, the national team managed to turn from 0-2 the score of the match with Bosnia Herzegovina. Cypriots could have been on an equal footing with the Greeks if they did not lose the match played three days later in Estonia. That defeat, however, has damaged their hopes of qualifying, but they still have a say in how they will show the final standings in the group.

Greece lost only one match in the qualifying group, with Belgium. The visiting team will hope that the leader will also be imposed on Saturday night against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thus, Greece could take the second position for a good result in Nicosia. Ranking could be better if the team won the match with Estonia, finishing without a goal scored.
