Cambuur vs Helmond PREVIEW & PREDICTION 19/10/2018

On Friday evening there is a not so very special match on the program, but at Cambuur Leeuwarden in particular they will see this differently. After three losses it will be time again for a victory and with the number for the last visit this seems like a good chance. However, the away team will also remember two weeks ago when Cambuur lost the number last and therefore did not surrender in advance.

Cambuur Leeuwarden:

Cambuur Leeuwarden started great in the league with four victories from six games. After that, the draft came in, however, and in this way Roda, Dordrecht and Sparta lost successively. In particular, the loss of red lantern carrier and the large 3-0 loss in Rotterdam are causing concern. It is no shame to lose to Sparta, but not without a chance of 3-0. Friday will therefore have to be clearly tapped from another vessel by the Geelblauwen.

The home results of Cambuur provide some guidance. In four games, three wins were recorded until the 0-1 loss against Roda JC. In addition, an opponent visits the Frisians historically. The last three matches in Leeuwarden against Helmond Sport were easily won with convincing figures. Perhaps this offers some perspective and hope for the men of Rene Hake.

Helmond Sport:

Helmond Sport is in a disappointing nineteenth place. Rob Alfen’s team collected only five points in nine games and no three points were scored. For example, in the last five games, three were lost and played twice. It is striking here that Helmond Sport managed to find each of these matches the net in all seven times. Unfortunately they also got eleven against it, so they did not get along with it much.

In particular last week, Helmond Sport severely harassed itself by not only losing 2-1 to Telstar, but also finishing the game with nine men. For example, young defender Jeroen Verkennis got a rightful red card after holding Telstar attacker Terrel Ondaan twice while being able to hit the goal alone, referee van der Graaf had to put the ball on the spot and summoned Verkennis to the locker room early . To make matters worse, Joerie Poelmans was sent off the field in injury time after a second yellow card, which was a very tough decision. So for Alfen it will be a complete puzzle, although he has access again to Maiky Fecunda and Ron Janzen who both return after an injury. However, I can not say anything about the expected set-up.

PREDICTION: Cambuur to win @ 1.60
