BESIKTAS VS BAYERN MUNICH PREVIEW & PREDICTION

After the 5-0 from the first match between Bayern Munich and Besiktas, the tension is there for the return. What do the two teams offer us on Wednesday?

Besiktas:

For Besiktas it was a real buzzword three weeks ago in Munich. The club and the supporters had imagined a lot, but even before half-time it looked bad for the Turkish national champion. An awkward red card from Domagoj Vida, and the opening goal just before the rest of Thomas Müller, made Besiktas play a lost game. Positive clue was that the team in the initial phase, when it was eleven to eleven, did not compete for the German club and also managed to create some opportunities. Because of the four goals that fell after the break, the matter was decided (5-0).

In the Süper Lig, Besiktas is promising for the third league title in a row. Since the defeat in Munich, the Black Eagles won three times for the league. The current gap on rival Galatasaray is three points. Basaksehir is also in the race for the title. On Sunday it is the opponent of Besiktas. On the one hand it is quite possible that Senol Günes rotates in the basic eleven, since Bayern can no longer be overtaken – realistically. On the other hand, as a coach you can not really make it so nice to take away the game from Bayern on Wednesday. Ricardo Quaresma will start on Wednesday anyway, as he is still in the competition for a suspension.

FC Bayern:

Bayern Munich made three weeks ago, after a hesitant start, so short with the Turks. That good win did not come out of the blue, since Bayern’s coach Jupp Heynckes has become almost unbeatable. With Don Jupp on the bench, the FCB managed to turn 25 of the 27 games into profit. The club management would like to see him in front of the group next year, but the 72-year-old is very doubtful about that. He himself showed Thomas Tuchel as the ideal trainer for Bayern.

At Bayern and his supporters, the thoughts often go back to the 2012/2013 season, when Heynckes was also the trainer. At that time, the treble was achieved – the jewel on the crown was the winning goal by Arjen Robben in the final match against Wembley against Borussia Dortmund (2-1). Robben is not there on Wednesday; as a precaution he stays behind in Bavaria. Corentin Tolisso will not play, just like Manuel Neuer and Kingsley Coman, who had been injured for some time. Despite those absentees, Heynckes still has the possibility to rotate.
