BAYERN MUNICH VS EINTRACHT FRANKFURT PREVIEW & PREDICTION
This Saturday the season closes in German football, when at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Bayern Munich and Eintacht Frankfurt dispute the title of the DFB Pokal.
Very special has been the arrival of Jupp Heynckes to the bench of a Bayern Munich who started the season with many doubts in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League, but Heynckes changed this and although it could not get to reach the final of the UEFA competition, it was possible to win a new Bundesliga title after finishing in the first place with a 21-point lead over his closest rival such as Schalke 04 and now this Saturday he will not only want to cleanse his image with that defeat at home of 1-4 against Stuttgart of the last day of the Bundesliga but to close the season with a new celebration and that better than against a team against whom has won the last three direct confrontations and against who has not lost in the last fourteen games where eleven were victories.
For its part no one understands what happened to the “Eagles” to close the season so badly and stay out of all UEFA competition, after being included in the squad of teams that go to that competition.
For many the big breaking point was when they learned that their coach Niko Kovac was going to be part of Bayern Munich for next season.
The truth is that Eintracht Frankfurt comes from a three-game losing streak in its last four games and with very painful defeats like the 4-1 against Bayer Leverkusen, the 0-3 against Hertha and the same 4-1 by Bayern Munich with a mixed team on the part of the Bavarian cast.
As for his performance away from home we have to say that the Eagles have lost seven of their last eight starts in official games.
PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.45
