Algeria managed to qualify for the African Nations Cup, after winning a group which also included Ethiopia, Seychelles and Lesotho.
Algeria began this edition of the African Cup with a difficult draw in front of Zimbabwe, ended with the score 2-2. Mijlocausl those from Leicester, was the architect R. Mahrez Algerians in the first row.
Also Mahrez already managed to take leadership in goalscoring standings after the first round, with double the inaugural match.

On the other side, Tunisia has managed to qualify for the African Cup after he finished in first place of group A qualifying with 13 points accumulated in 6 stages.
Tunisians began disappointingly this edition of the African Cup, being defeated by Senegal, with the score 0-2. Despite the final score, Tunisia dominated the match, having 56% possession, 19 chances to score and five shots on goal, compared to just 2 of Senegalese.
Tunisia reusesa last victory against Algeria at the African Nations Cup in 2013, when it was necessary to 1-0.
