Espanyol is still waiting the first victory of the season, after the last round at home to Malaga wherw they drew 2-2. The Catalan band earned two draws and suffered two defeats, scoring in all but four games. Against Malaga, Caicedo opened the score in the 16th minute, after this Stuani scored another goal 2-1 after 88 minutes, but they couldn’t keep the results and Malaga scored in overtime.

Besides the two goals, Espanyol had six shots on the gate, but none of them was the lucky one. Sergio Soriano team is pretty dangerous especially at the corners.  At home, Espanyol have won in previous 7 matches in Primera Division. Four of the last five matches have also at least three successful. Both, the coach and the players from Espanyol are unhappy for the arbitrage but they hope tonight it will be better. 

Last season, Espanyol lost at home to 0-2. Moreover, in the last five direct meetings, there were two draws. The referee of this match is David Fernandez. The strange thing is that he was at the center to match the Primera Division in 1997-1998 season and after that he no longer judged in the first league for 7 years. The two combatants today were met with David Fernandez at the center in the 2009-2010 season, Getafe won 2-0 away.

Espanyol last results:

Getafe lost the third game in this round last season, they were beaten at home by Valencia 0-3.  Contra‘s students were within five shots on the gate area, but four came from outside the box. Valencia, however, did not take any percent off gate openings. Cosmin Contra says that the mental block is the lack of results and that once the team will overcome this moment will occur performances. According to him, this blockage occurs mostly after the opponent score the first goal before his team. Contra is sure that Espanyol  will come to the attack tonight, because Espanyl is desperate to win his first game.

Getafe last results:

Both bands are passing through a difficult period, but given that Espanyol haven’t won in previous 7 games at home in the league, we anticipate that there will be no victory for them tonight. That’s not to mention the last direct meetings. Also, we anticipate a game without too many goals.
