As well as coach Fernando Santos, key midfielder João Moutinho also talked to the press. The AS Monaco FC man said that Portugal are only thinking of victory against Armenia. “We have to win. We have to face this game as any other,” he said. “We will have to be aggressive in possession, create chances and finish them.”
Fernando Santos said in a press conference: “We will play against an opponent that will play with five defenders and with all the team behind the ball. We can’t enter the field thinking that it will be an easy game. We have the competence and the quality to win, but we will have to run, work and battle as much as Armenia will”.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his team have three points after the first two games in Group I one less than leaders Denmark and two more than Armenia. Portugal is coming in this match in a very good shape, after they winning in Denmark with 1: 0 against Albania. Before that victory thet were defeated by France 2-1 and by Albania 1-0. Santos will make everithing it is possible to wint this match:“This is a very important match for us. We want to qualify in first place and, for that, we have to enter every game with a winning spirit. We will have to start strong, be organised and play objectively. We cannot allow Armenia to believe – that can cause us problems.”
If Portugal will win this match it can get the first position in the group, Santo’s team didn’t lost a official match at home since 2008, this team is one of the greatest teams in Europe, so tonight it will be a spectacular match.

On the other side,Armenians is not i a very good shape, and they have little chances to get the third position in the rankings.The last match was a 3-0 defeat with France, but their situation is not good they couldn’t won any match in the last 5 rounds. Armenia seems to have an impossible mission tonight if they think at a victor, especially because their last results that are very weak in 2014. He won one game out of eight played in this year, a friendly against the United Arab Emirates (4-3) and collected 22 goals. Armenia is the last in the group with one point obtained after a home draw with Serbia (1-1). The team have lost the matches with Denmark (1-2), France(3-0) , Letonia , Germany (6-1) but they have a pretty good game on the field. Armenians have some good offensive players like Mkhitaryan and Marcos Pizzelli. But the defense is the “key” word of today’s game, and no player could face and annihilate Cristiano Ronaldo. The only uncertain player is David Manoyan, who face medical problems.

In the last four direct meetings Armenia could’t won any game with Portugal. The last head-to-head game was in 2007 in Portugal, and the hosts won 1-0.
