The most interesting match of today will start at 15:30 on Etihad Stadium where Manchester City get the visit of their rival, Manchester United. This will be a pretty tight derby between two teams of tradition, both teams are in a very good shape.

England Champion  comes after two defeats in the past week, West Ham 1-2 in league and 0-2 with Newcastle in the League Cup, and a failure today could lead to the lowest performance that they have in the lastyears under the command of Manuel Pellegrini. Pablo Zabaleta believes that the chances are 50-50 at this derby, United are a stronger team than last year. Pablo does not believe that this derby is decisive in the fight for the title, even if Chelsea took an important advantage in the lead.
The hosts are ranked on the third position after nine stages with 17 points. In the last five stages have three wins, one draw and one defeat. They suffered two defeats in the league and one of them held 0-1 at home against Stoke.

On the other hand Manchester United are ranked on the eight position, after nine stages, at a distance of 4 points ahead of Manchester City. In the last six games they won four times and the last two of them ended in a draw (1-1 Chelsea, 2-2 West Ham) . They suffered only one defeat after a crazy game 3-5 on the field of Leicester.
Manchester United has won only four of the eight matches of the championship so far, unable to progress much to the previous season. We will probably see again a settlement from hosts 4-3-1-2 with Di Maria behind van Persie and Falcao. Rooney is still suspended, while Valencia, Evans and McNair are put into question, not 100% recovered.

The team will be stronger today, Wayne Rooney will return to the team after the suspension period, Michael Carrick and Antonio Valencia are recovering from injuries suffered and Ander Herrera will play tonight.Radamel Falcao is the only absent tonight due to a knee injury that turns more serious than initially thought.

Last season Manchester City won 4-1 at home and 3-0 in return. In the last five meetings Manchester United  managed to win only once.  Direct duels are dominated by United with 59 wins, compared to only 42 of those from the City.
City has won the last three derby with United.
