Simona Halep is selected as number 3 favorite at Wimbledon , but after Na Li, Serena Williams, Viktoria Azarenka, Radwanska and Maria Sharapova came out the competition, she remains the number 1favorite and most possible she will be the winner this year at Wimbledon.
By this stage of the competition, Simona had only modest opponents and she managed to defeat them: Diyas Bence 2-0, Pereira 2-0 and Tsurenko 2-1 . Tsurenko was the the only player who managed to take a set from Halep.
For Simona Halep the qualification in the quarterfinals here at Wilmbleon represents the best performance that she has untill now here, and she managed to equal the record of Virginia Ruzici the only romanian tennis player who played the second quarter-final at Wimbledon in Romania history.

Sabine Lisicki is seeded 19th at Wimbledon, and her presence in the quarterfinals is not a surprise. The only difficult opponent for German woman was Serbian Ana Ivanovic in the final 16–tenths, which defeated 2:1 in sets, and in eight of the past Shvedova all 2:1. Lisicki is a very good player on grass last season managed to reach the Wimbledon final that she lostt against Marion Bartoli French.This is the 4th time in his career when she reached the quarterfinals here at Wimbledon.

The first live match was held in 2010 at Stanford on asphalt where Lisicki has become easy in two sets, but Simon took revenge in Miami a year later won with 2:1.
