Both the Netherlands and Brazil are ready to say good bye at the World Cup trophy and tonight they fight for pride and third place.

Brazil suffered their worst defeat in their history when the World Cup hosts were left shocked and humiliated on Tuesday night, conceding five goals in 29 first-half minutes that will haunt the nation until the end of time.

Brasil is loking to forget their miserable defeat against Germany whereas for Neatherlands is hard to admit the defeat with Argentina, and now they lookig to get the 3 th place.

Fortunately for Brasil today it will be present the captain Thiago Silva, who is back on board and who is expected to bring some sort of order in the mess that Brazil call defence.

Netherands will have all the good players on the field, and they are fighting for the best possible outcome. Louis Van Gaal might make a few changes in formation by bringing right-back Daryl Janmaat in and probably benching Nigel De Jong. This will be Louis Van Gaal’s very last match with the Netherlands national team before he joins Manchester United. He is set to be replaced by Guus Hiddink, who in return will have former Red Devils’ striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy as his assistant.

The last three meetings:

Brazil – Netherlands 0 – 0   June 2011 (,International Friendly)

Netherlands – Brazil  2 – 1  July 2010  (World Cup)

Netherlands – Brazil 2 – 2  October 1999 (International Friendly)

Brazil and the Netherlands have played 11 times and four times at the World Cup, including the quarter-final in 2010 when the Dutch came from behind to win 2-1.
